If you are in the area, come on over. We do not check IDs at the door, so any Central alumnus, Class of '66 or not... is welcome to join us. A big group would be fantastic!

Please let one of us know if you are coming... one of us being: Terry Hopkins, Bill (Jacqie Jackson) or Lila Steinhoff. The restaurant would like a head count the day before.

We are looking forward to another great afternoon. CHS classmates who live in, or are just passing through, this part of Florida have been meeting for lunch for more than two years, and we haven't been disappointed yet. There are old friends, good food, tons of stories and laughter... just a really good time. Don't miss it.

Those of you who, wistfully, follow the events of the Florida chapter of the Class of '66 lunch bunch, you have another chance to join us.

On October 15, 2014, the Florida Chapter of the Class of '66 Lunch Bunch will be meeting in Sebring, FL at Jimmy's Greek American Restaurant at 11:30 AM. Lunch begins at 11:30 and will go until the stories run out. If past lunches are any indication, we could be there for a while.

If you live in Florida or are just passing through , please join us for lunch. No IDs will be checked at the door to determine if you are Class of 66. If you are CHS and are in the area and would like to join us, please do.

We'd like to get a head count for the restaurant, so if you are coming, please let one of us know. Us being Terry Hopkins, Bill (Jacqie) Jackson, or Lila Steinhoff. Classmates Jane Rudert McMahan and Terry Hopkins are smiling, because they have been to the Florida Class of '66 brunches. The food is good and the weather is even better in Florida. Come on down, or over, or up... wherever you are coming from.

Lila Steinoff wrote: "Members of the Central High School Class of 1966 have been meeting for lunch in the Cape Girardeau area every month since the class reunion in June of 2010. We Florida exiles decided we can't make it back to Cape as often as we'd like, so a few if us put our heads together to pull off a Florida meeting. The original Florida group members; Lila Perry Steinhoff, Jane Rudert McMahan, Bill (Jacqie) Jackson, and Terry Hopkins (who was away on the 9th and was missed by all), met for the inaugural lunch in July. It was a fantastic day with friends, food and so many memories and stories.

We talked and laughed for more four hours and decided we had to do it again. Once we put the word out on Facebook and on the 60s' email list, we started picking up more classmates. After months of planning and juggling of time schedules, the logistics finally settled and... those living in, visiting, or driving to the Tampa, Florida, area met for lunch at the Thirsty Marlin in Palm Harbor, Fl. It was a pretty fantastic day. There was a lot of laughter and memories were shared and stories swapped. Attendees were Jane McMahan, Lila Steinhoff, Bill Askew, Jesse James and wife Margaret, Bill (Jacqie) Jackson, Don Wareing and wife Peggy, Mike Riley and wife Sheila, and Mike Heron.

We will announce the date and place with as much lead time as we can. Watch for the notice and plan to attend. ID's are not required to prove that you are a member of the Class of 66. Other Central classmates are invited, as well. Don't miss the next really good time."
