My Vista Linda buddy Dan was the tour guide for the cultural side of San Jose. Dan toured me thru town on the way to his daily Spanish lessons and it was great. This was a neat park near the center of town. Very nice and peaceful place in the middle of a million people. Greek revival style for those of you into this type of thing... We had a great lunch at an Argentine restaurant downtown too!

Sam and I considering a great philosophical point made at the Table of Knowledge. Both of us look like we are considering this literary point with some reservations. Sam is remarkable guy and great friend of Ellis, he has traveled with Ellis all over South America.

Joey, my good friend from Costa Rica, and the view from the Penthouse at the Del Ray Hotel. From this lofty perch we were looking for Holy Shrines, educational landmarks and churches to tour later . We thought if we were above the city we could see more, but we did not.

On the other hand, it turned out the previous occupant of the penthouse left an almost full bottle of Absolute Vodka, so things worked out pretty good anyway!
